Terms and conditions


  1. The LocalGo scheme provides a range of offers from travel and leisure operators. The term ‘offers’ applies to all the discounts and benefits available through the LocalGo scheme for scheme sponsors and residents within each scheme.
  2. These offers are only for purchases made by residents of LocalGo schemes. They are not transferable to other users unless the membership agreement stipulates this to be the case. The offers are not available to residents is they move from the LocalGo scheme.
  3. Go Travel Solutions reserve the right to refuse LocalGo membership to a resident. Go Travel Solutions also reserves the right to cease a scheme sponsor or residents membership of LocalGo if they are in breach of the terms and conditions.
  4. LocalGo does not store any financial details of scheme sponsors or residents. All transactions arising from LocalGo offers are undertaken directly with the travel operator. Internally Go Travel Solutions uses information from scheme sponsors and resident participating in the LocalGo scheme to improve the customer experience and enhance the offers and service provided.
  5. LocalGo offers for scheme sponsors and resident have the following conditions:
  • Subject to the terms and conditions of the offer providers;
  • Limited in availability to certain locations across the United Kingdom;
  • Offer no priority over other customers;
  • Subject to change and availability and are not guaranteed to continue throughout the duration of LocalGo membership;
  • The offers provided through LocalGo are not guaranteed to provide the lowest price. Go Travel Solutions seeks to secure attractive offers from reputable providers within the travel and leisure sectors, with a focus on promoting sustainable travel. Users of the scheme wishing to receive the lowest cost are encouraged to check with the supplier prior to purchase.


  1. Details on resident participation in the LocalGo scheme is shared with the scheme sponsor, to validate eligibility and receive data on scheme utilisation.
  2. Discount for resident apply to all residents within the household. However the discounts are more beneficial to adults as they based on adult rates, where there is differential pricing based on age.
  3. Fair Processing Notice – Resident members of LocalGo are asked when they register to supply their first name, surname, personal email address, postcode, phone number and verification email address.


  • The first name, surname, personal email address and verification email address are mandatory fields. These details are shared with the scheme sponsor, to verify they are resident of the scheme and so entitled to the offers available through LocalGo and to enable Go Travel Solutions to process their membership application and communicate information on LocalGo. None of this information is shared with 3rd parties.
  • Postcode data and information on forms of travel used is requested (but not mandatory) to help with mapping of journeys to help improve future transport provision. Information shared with 3rd parties does not contain any personal information.
  • Phone number information for resident members is not shared with 3rd parties. It is obtained to assist Go Travel Solutions with the communication of travel offers to its members.

Scheme sponsor

  1. No refunds on scheme sponsorship membership fees are available other than in exceptional circumstances. Where an employer wishes to make the case for a refund, these are to be addressed to the Managing Director of Go Travel Solutions Ltd.
  2. Official confirmation from an employer member needs to be provided (e.g. purchase order) before membership is made ‘live’. Once a scheme sponsor signs up for membership of LocalGo, payment is to be made within 28 days of membership going ‘live’.

Data Privacy and General Data Protection Regulation 

Here is a summary of how data is managed within LocalGo and how it complies with the General Data Protection Regulation.

Identity and contact details of the data controller and the data protection officer

Data controller is Go Travel Solutions Ltd.
Data Protection Officer is Managing Director of Go Travel Solutions Ltd. 

Purpose of the processing and the lawful basis for the processing

The purpose of the processing is to:

  • verify the legitimate accessing of the travel offers
  • communicate with scheme member’s information on LocalGo and its travel offers
  • administer the membership of LocalGo by scheme sponsor and residents

The legitimate interests of the controller

To verify scheme sponsor and resident membership of the scheme and to support the promotion of the scheme to scheme sponsors and residents. 

Any recipient or categories of recipients of the personal data

No external parties receive personal data of resident members.
Key contact details of scheme sponsor members are shared with LocalGo scheme operators, such as a local bus company, to assist scheme sponsors in developing sustainable travel plans.

Details of transfers to third country and safeguards

Go Travel Solutions uses Zoho and Joomla to manage data submitted through the LocalGo website. Both Joomla and Zoho have recognised systems in place to ensure data confidentiality and security is not compromised. Data is stored in Europe.

Retention period or criteria used to determine the retention period

Scheme membership data is maintained beyond expiry to assist with renewal. Resident membership data is initially archived when a scheme sponsor ceases membership. If a scheme sponsor does not resume LocalGo membership after 24 months, personal contact information of residents is deleted.

The right to withdraw consent at any time, where relevant

If resident members wish to change their consent on sharing non-mandatory information, this can be done by emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.  

The right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

Where scheme sponsors and resident members wish to lodge a complaint in respect of the privacy of data, they are first requested to contact the Data Protection Officer at Go Travel Solutions. This is the Managing Director. If they remain dissatisfied with the response, then they have the right to contact the Information Commissioner’s Office ( for an independent review to be undertaken.

The existence of automated decision making, including profiling and information about how decisions are made, the significance and the consequences.

If a resident member does not use the verification email address for their employer, they will be unable to access membership of LocalGo and the travel offers it provides.
