Free Dr Bike Session and Cycle ride supports New Lubbesthorpe’s Health and Travel Day
On Saturday 12th February, residents of New Lubbesthorpe and members of LocalGo, can attend a free Dr Bike session in support of Lubbesthorpe Alive’s Health and Travel Day.
Led by bicycle mechanic Martin Bujdoso, of Soar Valley Cycles, residents can receive a free maintenance check on their bicycle by visiting the hub and booking a time slot with Martin.
The session will run from 10am to 1pm and will be delivered on a first come, first served basis. Simply bring your bicycle to the hub, book your time slot and away you go!
If you are not already a LocalGo member you can register on the day with Carrie Wainwright, LocalGo promoter and New Lubbesthorpe resident, who will be based at the Hub and ready to sign you up. Alternatively, you can become a member of LocalGo in advance by contacting
LocalGo will also be providing residents with a professional-led cycle ride from the Hub to Everards Meadows and back. This will be an estimated round trip of 12 miles and will be led by two experienced Ride Leicester leaders. All ages from 5+ are welcome and anyone aged between 5 and 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
